We hold monthly group meetings at Calver and Matlock alongside the car section, so we all get to meet each other and it’s true to say that some firm friendships have been made between riders and Observers over the years. You’ll find we are a friendly bunch, here to help anyone.
As a Group we also attend motorcycle related events throughout the year, such as the Nottingham Easter Egg charity ride, and the BBC Radio Derby Children in Need event from Clay Cross.
We go along to events to publicise the IAM and Group, and will be going to the Motorcycle event at Crich Tramway Museum again this July.
Several of our members are also volunteer riders with Derbyshire Blood Bikes, a registered charity that transports medical samples for the NHS on a 24/7 basis between hospitals both in Derbyshire and further afield when required.
We welcome any style and age of bike (and rider) as long as the machine is capable of reaching and maintaining the national speed limit, which is expected on the test.
