John Fry Awards
This award is presented in the memory of the late John Fry, who was fundamental in the formation of the Group over 30 years ago. The John Fry award is presented to the group member who has, in the opinion of the committee, done the most to promote the Group and the IAM in the last twelve months.

The 2019 John Fry award goes to Ann Barry. Ann has been our Treasurer for many years, an Observer and Mentor of many Associates and Observers.

Keith was presented with Groups annual John Fry award by Group Chairman Kevin Knight at the groups recent AGM April 2018.
Keith who is a local Observer for both car and motorcycle, has now set himself the challenge of taking the National Observer test in both categories.

Chairman Kevin Knight said, ” I congratulate Stuart Barton who is this year’s worthy recipient of the John Fry memorial award. Stuart has been a very active observer for a number years and has mentored many associates, with a large percentage going on to take and pass the advanced test.
He has taken on a number of associates who did not wish to actually do the test but just seek reassurance, guidance and confidence all of which they have achieved due to Stuart’s patient, quiet and understanding manner
